The ultimate Cowal Peninsula Loop starts and ends at "The Rest and Be Thankful" on the A83 - passing

Strachur and Ardkinglas,Old Castle Lachlan, Tighnabruaich, Portavadie,
Ardentinny, Dunoon, Toward and Loch Striven
then head back via Pucks Glen,Benmore Botanic Gardens and Lock Eck.
